Indian Bank reports 18% rise in Q2 net profit

Indian Bank has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The Bank has reported 18.49% rise in its net profit at Rs 405.14 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 341.93 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 0.61% at Rs 4579.01 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 4551.27 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July-September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 7.28% as compared to 4.61% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 4.62% in Q2FY17.
