City Union Bank gains on reporting 15% rise in Q2 net profit

City Union Bank is currently trading at Rs. 151.40, up by 0.20 points or 0.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 151.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 151.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 151.85 and Rs. 149.80 respectively. So far 10163 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 152.15 on 08-Nov-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 76.90 on 21-Jan-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 152.15 and Rs. 136.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9032.69 crore.

The institutions and non-institutions held 48.51% and 51.49% stake in the Bank, respectively.

City Union Bank has reported 14.73% rise in its net profit at Rs 123.74 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 107.85 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 7.89% at Rs 894.87 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 829.45 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July- September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 2.69%, as compared to 2.10% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 1.63% in Q2FY17.
