City Union Bank introduces ‘CUB - Lakshmi’ for enhanced customer service

City Union Bank has introduced a Robot named ‘CUB - Lakshmi’ on a pilot basis as part of the Bank’s efforts for enhanced customer service. The Bank will shortly launch the Robot, first in its Chennai, T-Nagar branch.

The Bank has reported 14.73% rise in its net profit at Rs 123.74 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 107.85 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 7.89% at Rs 894.87 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 829.45 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July- September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 2.69%, as compared to 2.10 % in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 1.63% in Q2FY17.
