Corporation Bank shines on reporting 9% rise in Q2 net profit

Corporation Bank is currently trading at Rs. 46.70, up by 4.60 points or 10.93 % from its previous closing of Rs. 42.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 45.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 47.50 and Rs. 44.40 respectively. So far 271856 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 47.80 on 09-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 30.75 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 47.50 and Rs. 35.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5328.08 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.89% and 5.34% respectively.

Corporation Bank reported 9.37% rise in its net profit at Rs 206.28 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 188.60 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 5.81% at Rs 5750.62 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5434.65 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July- September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 10.81%, as compared to 5.32 % in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 6.91% in Q2FY17.
