Indian Overseas Bank moves up on the bourses

Indian Overseas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 26.10, up by 0.15 points or 0.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 25.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 26.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 26.55 and Rs. 25.05 respectively. So far 181969 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 33.55 on 02-Dec-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 21.10 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 27.90 and Rs. 21.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6394.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 79.56%, while institutions and non-institutions held 13.54% and 6.90% respectively.

Indian Overseas Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 765.13 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to net loss of Rs 550.83 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank decreased by 11.94% at Rs 5961.62 crore for Q2FY17 as compared Rs 6769.94 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July- September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 21.77%, as compared to 11% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 14.30% in Q2FY17.
