Gayatri Projects strengthens as SGPL concludes construction of its first 600-MW unit

Gayatri Projects is currently trading at Rs. 621.25, up by 7.85 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs. 613.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 610.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 621.25 and Rs. 610.05 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 790.00 on 23-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 482.00 on 17-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 660.00 and Rs. 570.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,2202.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.48%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.96% and 11.56% respectively.

Gayatri Projects, a prominent and well established infrastructure company specializing in road, irrigation, power transmission and industrial projects has completed construction of its first 660-megawatt unit and announced its second thermal power plant of the 1,320-megawatt Sembcorp Gayatri Power. The second unit of the 660 megawatts is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2017.

Sembcorp Gayatri Power (SGPL) (formerly NCC Power Projects), is a joint venture between its wholly-owned subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities, and Gayatri Energy Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gayatri Projects.

Gayatri Projects is a Hyderabad-based infrastructure and construction company with a presence across the segment, primarily undertaking road and irrigation projects.
