SpiceJet gains on plan to launch daily direct flight on Hyderabad-Jabalpur route

SpiceJet is currently trading at Rs. 66.00, up by 1.60 points or 2.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 64.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 65.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 66.30 and Rs. 65.40 respectively. So far 4,48,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 95.30 on 28-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 54.50 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 66.30 and Rs. 58.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,959.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.12% and 37.56% respectively.

SpiceJet will launch a daily direct flight on the Hyderabad-Jabalpur-Hyderabad route effective from December 23. The fares for the Hyderabad-Jabalpur route will start from Rs 3,613 whereas for Jabalpur - Hyderabad route it will start from Rs 3,073.

With the introduction of this flight, Jabalpur will now be connected with Chennai, Bangalore, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Coimbatore through onward connections. Hyderabad is the third metro after Delhi and Mumbai that SpiceJet will be serving a daily direct flight connecting Jabalpur.

SpiceJet was among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector. The airline was launched with an objective to deliver the lowest air fares with the highest consumer value, to price sensitive consumers.
