Canara Bank gains on inking corporate agency agreement with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 311.50, up by 0.85 points or 0.27% from its previous closing of Rs. 310.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 305.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 311.60 and Rs. 301.70 respectively. So far 135994 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 339.20 on 05-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 156.20 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 329.75 and Rs. 296.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16772.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.30%, while institutions and non-institutions held 26.60% and 7.10% respectively.

Canara Bank has inked a corporate agency agreement with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance whereby the bank will distribute Bajaj Allianz’s general insurance products through its network of 5,920 branches across the country. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance will offer its industry leading general insurance products to the customers of Canara Bank.

A bouquet of personal lines of products such as Motor Insurance, Home Insurance, Health Insurance, Travel Insurance and commercial line of products such as Fire Insurance, Marine Insurance and Engineering Insurance will be available through branches of Canara Bank.

Canara Bank is an Indian state-owned bank headquartered in Bangalore, in Karnataka. It was established at Mangalore in 1906, making it one of the oldest banks in the country.
