Mahanagar Gas has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2016.
The company has reported 40.88% rise in its net profit at Rs 102.24 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 72.57 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income from operations of the company decreased by 3.12% at Rs 574.18 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 592.67 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
Mahanagar Gas is one of the largest city gas distribution (CGD) companies in India. The company has more than 20 years of experience in supplying natural gas in Mumbai and is presently the sole authorized distributor of compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) in Mumbai, its Adjoining Areas and the Raigad district in the state of Maharashtra.
