Balkrishna Industries zooms on reporting over two fold jump in Q2 net profit

Balkrishna Industries is currently trading at Rs. 1238.00, up by 48.20 points or 4.05 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1189.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1208.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1280.00 and Rs. 1202.40 respectively. So far 88093 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1,280.00 on 02-Dec-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 551.35 on 26-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,280.00 and Rs. 905.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12028.20 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.30%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.97% and 8.74% respectively.

Balkrishna Industries has reported more than two-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 242.92 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 106.23 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 28.79% at Rs 1050.07 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 815.36 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.  

Balkrishna Industries is a leading manufacturer in the Off-Highway tire market. Since its founding in 1987, BKT has successfully focused on specialist segments such as agricultural, construction and industrial vehicles as well as earthmoving, port and mining, ATV, and gardening applications.
