Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture (JV) of Tata Power and the Government of Delhi, has been awarded with the ‘Best Overall Performance in the Private Sector and PSU’ award at the 9th Indian Power Awards 2016. The award was presented to the company in the presence of other dignitaries during the ceremony in New Delhi.
TPDDL was selected for the award based on evaluation of performance indices such as AT&C losses, financial turnaround, metering and reliability in its distribution network. TPDDL has been at the fore front for introducing latest technology like smart grid, SCADA, GIS, OMS and DMS among others which has helped it in becoming the most efficient company in the power distribution system in the country.
