NHPC has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in respect of up-coming projects Tawang-I and Tawang-II HE Project with Assam Power Distribution Company on December 06, 2016. Bulk Power Supply Agreement (BPSA) in respect of Loktak Power Station, Manipur has also been extended with Assam Power Distribution Company. The company has signed both PPA and BPSA for a period of 35 years from the date of commercial operation (COD) of respective projects.
NHPC is engaged in electricity generation. The company is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
