Bajaj Auto launches its latest sports bike ‘Dominar 400’

Bajaj Auto, the country’s second largest two-wheeler maker, has launched its latest sports bike ‘Dominar 400’ in India. The all new Bajaj Dominar 400 is available in India for Rs 1.36 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi) for the disc brake variant and Rs 1.50 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi) for ABS variant, with the deliveries to commence from mid-January in 2017. Dominar 400 is Bajaj Auto’s first offering beyond the 220 cc category, apart from those in its subsidiary, KTM’s stable. Dominar 400 will come with a 373cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 35PS of peak power and 35Nm of peak torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. It can go from 0-100kmph in just 8.23 seconds, with a top speed of 148kmph. Moreover, the Dominar 400 engine will comply with the new BS IV emission norms and is the first motorcycle from Bajaj to come with a slipper clutch.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
