Tata Metaliks surges on completing amalgamation of pipes unit with itself

Tata Metaliks is currently trading at Rs. 326.10, up by 6.10 points or 1.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 320.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 320.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 327.60 and Rs. 316.00 respectively. So far 75973 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 512.90 on 22-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.00 on 12-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 353.00 and Rs. 316.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 821.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.09%, while institutions and non-institutions held 3.68% and 46.23% respectively.

Tata Metaliks has amalgamated Tata Metaliks DI Pipes with itself and the amalgamation is effective from December 22, 2016. Both the firms are part of Tata Steel. Last month on November 7, Calcutta High Court had approved the scheme of amalgamation of Tata Metaliks DI Pipes with Tata Metaliks.

Tata Metaliks is engaged in manufacturing of pig iron, casting, iron ore fines, coke breeze and limestone. The company is promoted by Tata Steel which was formerly known as The Tata Iron and Steel Company.
