Bosch to spend Rs 300 crore on capacity expansion of Nashik plant: Report

As a part of Rs 2,200 crore investment for the entire Bosch Group in India, Bosch is reportedly planning to spend Rs 300 crore in 2012 for expansion of Nashik plant. The company will invest the same for capacity expansion, increase in production space along with increase in headcount.

In a view of improved diesel injection equipment demand, the company has invested significantly in Nashik plant on expanding capacity. Production of Common Rail Injection systems has enhanced by 60% while, the production of nozzle holders has rose 20%.

The production space has gone up to the tune of 35,000 square meters to meet the expansion plan. Apart from production space, funds have also been allocated for a new office building.

Bosch is India’s largest auto component manufacturer and also one of the largest Indo-German company in India. Bosch has a strong nationwide service network which spans across 1,000 towns and cities with over 4,000 authorized representations to ensure widespread availability of both products and services.
