Bajaj Auto has registered a fall of 22% in total sales to 2,25,529 units in December 2016 against 2,89,003 units in December 2015. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 18% and stood at 2,03,312 units in the month under review against 2,47,782 units in December 2015.
The company has reported 46% fall in Commercial Vehicles sales, which stood at 22,217 units as compared to 41,221 units in month of December 2015. The company’s total exports stood at 105,804 units as compared to 145,477 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
