BGR Energy Systems has forayed into large size Water Treatment business by bagging two large value contracts worth Rs 650 crore. Including this order, the company carries over an order book of Rs 10,425 crore.
The first contract worth Rs 209.50 crore is for Water Treatment Plant package for 3 x 800 MW Unit of APPDCL, Krishnapatnam Stage 1 & 2 at Nellore, A.P. The aggregate treatment capacity of these plants are more than 55 million litres per day (MLD) and these units will be completed over 23 months.
The second contract worth Rs 440 crore is from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewaracie Board (CMWSSB) for Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant of 45 MLD capacity at Kodungaiyur, Chennai. The contract value of Rs 440 crore consists of Rs 235 crore for construction of plant and transmission pipelines and Rs 205 crore for O&M for subsequent 15 years. The Project is funded by World Bank and tender witnessed stiff qualification requirements and competition.
