Allahabad Bank reports 55.36% rise in Q4 net profit

Allahabad Bank has reported results for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012

The bank has posted a rise of 55.36% in its net profit at Rs 400.22 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 257.61 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 26.05% at Rs 4523.38 crore for quarter under review as compared Rs 3588.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2011

For the full year ended March 31, 2012, the bank has posted a rise of 31.18% in its net profit at Rs 1866.79 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 1423.11 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income has increased by 35.82% at Rs 16821.96 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 12385.10 crore for the period ended March 31, 2011.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has posted a rise of 29.51% in its net profit at Rs 1864.34 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 1439.53 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income has increased by 35.11% at Rs 16851.53 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 12472.23 crore for the period ended March 31, 2011.
