GE Power India bags contract worth Rs 198.80 crore from NASL

GE Power India has been awarded a contract by NTPC ALSTOM Power Services (a 50:50 Joint Venture between NTPC & GE) (NASL), of approximately Rs 198.80 crore approximately $29.22 million including duties and taxes for Steam Turbine Upgrade Project at NTPC’s Ramagundam Super Thermal Power Plant in the State of Telangana.

The company’s scope of work consists of supply of Steam Turbine Module, its auxiliaries, Turbine controller and spares including supervision of erection, commissioning and testing.

Earlier in December, the company had been awarded contracts worth $40 million by Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) to supply components and services for the supercritical steam generator island packages for 2x800 MW coal-based Uppur Thermal Power Project and 1x800MW coal-based North Chennai Supercritical Thermal Power Project Stage-III.
