Wockhardt has been issued EU GMP Certificate by the competent authority, Berlin, Germany confirming that the company’s manufacturing facility at 138, GIDC Estate, Ankaleshwar, Gujarat, complies with the principles and guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices. The certificate issued in this regard is valid for 3 years.
Earlier, the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has recently issued a warning letter to Wockhardt’s Ankleshwar plant for data integrity issues, destruction of records and other violation of good manufacturing practices.
Wockhardt is one of the few companies with end to end integrated capabilities for its products, starting with the manufacture of the oral and sterile API’s, the dose forms and marketing through wholly owned subsidiary in the US, enabling the company to capture maximum value.
