HDFC Bank helps TN temples to go digital: Report

HDFC Bank has reportedly helped five temples in Kanyakumari district in southern Tamil Nadu (TN) to introduce digital wallets and point of sale (PoS) to enable their devotees pay donations. The Bank has opened five new government accounts for collecting donations from the devotees using their debit or credit cards.

The temples that have introduced digital mode include Arulmighu Thanumalaya Swamy Temple, Suchindrum; Arulmighu Bhagavathi Amman Temple, Kanyakumari; Arulmighu Nagaraja Temple,Nagercoil; Arulmighu Bhagavathi Amman Temple, Mondaikadu; and Arulmighu Kumaraswamy Temple, Velimalai.

HDFC Bank is one of India’s premier banks providing a wide range of financial products and services to its 32 million customers across hundreds of Indian cities using multiple distribution channels including a pan-India network of branches, ATMs, phone banking, net banking and mobile banking.
