Rural Electrification Corporation’s (REC) - wholly owned subsidiary - REC Transmission Projects Company (RECTPCL), has incorporated three project specific Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), as a wholly owned subsidiary companies of RECTPCL.
The company has incorporated WR-NR Power Transmission for execution of New WR - NR 765 kv Inter-regional corridor project; ERSS XXI Transmission for execution of Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme - XXI project and Ghatampur Transmission for execution of transmission system for evacuation of power from 3x660 MW Ghatampur Thermal project.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
