Dairy stocks gain as government targets dairy processing infrastructure fund

Shares of companies related to dairy business rose after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced a dairy processing infrastructure fund to be set up under NABARD, with fund of Rs 8,000 crore in three years.

Prabhat Dairy is currently trading at Rs. 111.00, up by 2.45 points or 2.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 108.55 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 109.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 114.15 and Rs. 108.90 respectively. So far 49,000 shares were traded on the counter

Umang Dairies is currently trading at Rs. 75.55, up by 2.20 points or 3.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 73.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 74.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 77.00 and Rs. 74.05 respectively. So far 7,375 shares were traded on the counter

Modern Dairies is currently trading at Rs. 11.22, up by 0.42 points or 3.89% from its previous closing of Rs. 10.80 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 10.94 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 11.49 and Rs. 10.51 respectively. So far 43,000 shares were traded on the counter.
