NHPC has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company has reported 25.87% rise in its net profit at Rs 214.69 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, as compared to Rs 170.57 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 4.52% at Rs 1483.57 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1553.77 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
NHPC is engaged in electricity generation. The company is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
