Tata Power has launched online application facility for customers who wish to apply for power supply. Now, consumers can directly fill in their relevant details, upload their self-attested supporting documents and apply for connection all well within 10 minutes. Moreover, consumers can also track the status of their application through the company's website and have direct access to solar net metering, open access applications (short term-STOA, medium term-MTOA and long term-LTOA) and for reconnection of power supply after temporary disconnection. The objective behind this move was to provide a digital self-service option to customers in line with India's digital plan.
