CESC reports 5% rise in Q3 net profit

CESC has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2016.

The company has reported 4.83% rise in its net profit at Rs 152 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 145 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 2.04% at Rs 1650 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 1617 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. CESC is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain: right from mining coal, generating power, distribution of power.
