GMR Infrastructure slips on reporting net loss of Rs 381.93 crore in Q3

GMR Infrastructure (GIL) is currently trading at Rs. 13.84, down by 0.40 points or 2.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 14.24 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 14.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 14.34 and Rs. 13.81 respectively. So far 5,95,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 15.53 on 08-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10.25 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 15.16 and Rs. 13.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8,353.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.66%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.37% and 10.98% respectively.

The company has reported a net loss of Rs 381.93 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to a net profit of Rs 40.01 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 24.35% at Rs 225.97 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 298.72 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

GIL is engaged in generation of power, mining and exploration activities, development of highways, infrastructure development, such as development and maintenance of airports and special economic zone; construction business, including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting activities and operation of airports and special economic zones.
