Jindal Steel & Power trades in fine fettle on BSE

Jindal Steel & Power is currently trading at Rs. 88.80, up by 0.75 points or 0.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 88.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 88.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 93.80 and Rs. 88.35 respectively. So far 2565117 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 96.20 on 07-Feb-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 51.80 on 29-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 93.80 and Rs. 85.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8125.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.89%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.39% and 18.72 % respectively.

Jindal Steel & Power reported a net loss of Rs 186.53 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 as compared to net loss of Rs 519.02 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 20.53% at Rs 3518.95 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 2919.48 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.   

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a net loss after taxes, minority interest and share of loss of associates of Rs 407.44 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016, as compared to a net loss of Rs 869.73 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 24.58% at Rs 5408.18 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 4341.02 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
