Godrej Properties, the realty arm of Godrej Group, is likely to continue its focus on residential space as it expects that the demand for houses will continue to grow. In the last fiscal of the 10 deals that the company signed, only one was in the commercial space, at Bandra Kurla Complex. The company plans to launch 15 projects this fiscal, which will primarily be residential projects.
Considering its current portfolio, company believes that it has a significant exposure to residential segment. Financing for residential projects is much easier than commercial projects as in residential segment, construction can be financed by customer advances.
