Ruchi Soya Industries has registered 41.85% jump in standalone net profit at Rs 30.88 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 21.77 crore in the year-ago period.
The company’s total income increased by 43.66% to Rs 6,952 crore during the quarter as against Rs 4,839.12 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.
For the fiscal ended March, 2012, Ruchi Soya’s net profit declined by 41.43% to Rs 124.87 crore as compared to Rs 213.20 crore in 2010-11, while the total income during the year increased to Rs 25,981.48 crore in last fiscal from Rs 16,657.93 crore in the previous year, up by 55.97%.
On consolidated basis, Ruchi Soya posted a net profit of Rs 119.42 crore during 2011-12 as compared to Rs 225.16 crore in the previous year, down by 46.96%. The consolidated total income rose to Rs 30,283.56 crore in 2011-12 from Rs 18,224.64 crore in 2010-11 fiscal.
Ruchi Soya is engaged in vegetable oils and other food products. It sells high protein soya food under the Nutrela brand.
