DHFL surges on plan of raising Rs 1,500 crore through NCDs

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (DHFL) is currently trading at Rs. 325.45, up by 8.10 points or 2.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 317.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 317.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 328.20 and Rs. 317.60 respectively. So far 118324 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 337.00 on 20-Oct-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 141.75 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 328.20 and Rs. 286.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10160.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 39.30%, while institutions and non-institutions held 32.33% and 28.37% respectively.

DHFL is planning to raise Rs 1,500 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on private placement basis. This is following a special resolution passed by the shareholders of the company at the 32nd annual general meeting held on July 20, 2016.

DHFL is one of India’s premier housing finance companies and is among the oldest private sector Housing Finance Companies (HFC) in India. On April 11, 1984, the company was established to enable access to affordable housing finance to the lower and middle income groups in semi-urban and rural parts of India.
