Western India Shipyard bags order worth Rs 50 crore

Western India Shipyard has bagged various ship repair orders worth Rs 50 crore during the first quarter ending June 30, 2012. The company has secured order worth about Rs 4050 lakh for Foreign vessel MV Vestfonn, involving major repair to be executed over a period of 3 and a half months. The vessel will arrive in June 2012.

The company has also won order for two Indian vessel of the Ambuja Group, for regular repairs, with combined repair value of about Rs 210 lakh. MV Ambuja Laxmi has already arrived, while, the company has also received order for MV Focus Admiralty with repair value of Rs 100 lakh, arrived in the shipyard and repair are in final stage of completion.

Moreover, the company has also bagged a letter of intent from the Vedanta Group for their Tanshipper vessel, MV Priyamvada and the contract is expected to be finalized shortly.

Western India Shipyard offers services such as routine maintenance and damage repairs, cargo hold/tank space blasting and coating, main engine overhauls, rudder, propeller and tail shaft repairs, and cargo gear overhaul and repairs.
