NHPC has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GRIDCO, Government of Odisha on February 21, 2017. The PPA is in respect of an up-coming Teesta-IV Project, West Bengal & Teesta-V Power Station, Sikkim for a period of 35 years from the date of commercial operation (COD) of the project/power station.
NHPC is engaged in electricity generation. The company is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
