Titan Company rises on entering into premium sarees, women's ethnic wear segment

Titan Company is currently trading at Rs. 437.70, up by 1.05 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 436.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 436.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 442.50 and Rs. 435.40 respectively. So far 22035 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 459.00 on 21-Feb-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 296.30 on 21-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 442.50 and Rs. 426.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 38814.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.05%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.19% and 20.75% respectively.

Titan Company has entered into premium sarees and women's ethnic wear category under the brand name ‘Taneira’.  The company has opened its first Taneira store in Bengaluru. This new store has a collection of handwoven sarees and ethnic wears from across the country with products ranging up to Rs 2.5 lakh. The company reached out to close to 200 different sources of weaves from across the country over 15 months before launching the store. Over the course of a year, the company will open a few more pilot stores across the country.

Titan Company is an Indian designer and manufacturer of watches, jewellery, precision engineering components and other accessories including sunglasses, wallets, bags and belts.
