Bajaj Auto advances on reporting marginal rise in February sales

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 2805.55, up by 32.55 points or 1.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 2773.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2790.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2810.00 and Rs. 2790.00 respectively. So far 2,626 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3122.00 on 09-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2213.20 on 16-Mar-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2843.20 and Rs. 2747.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 81,183.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.31%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.03% and 24.66% respectively.

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has registered rise of 0.29% in total sales to 273,513 units in February 2017 against 272,719 units in February 2016. The company’s total exports out of the above stood at 114,404 units, a rise of 16% as compared to 98,959 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

The sales of the motorcycles increased by 4% and stood at 244,958 units in the month under review against 235,282 units in February 2016. However, the company has reported 24% fall in Commercial Vehicles sales, which stood at 28,555 units as compared to 37,437 units in month of February 2016.
