NTPC registers 4.67% growth in power generation in April-February this fiscal

NTPC Group has registered a growth of 4.67% in power generation at 251.036 billion units (BUs) in April-February this fiscal compared to 239.845 BUs in the same period a year ago. The four coal stations of NTPC are ranked among the top 5 performing stations in the country in terms of PLF (plant load factor or capacity utilization) for the 10 month period (in April to January this fiscal).

NTPC’s Talcher, Sipat, Korba and Singrauli unit with PLF of 92.05 percent, 90.12 percent, 87.9 percent and 86.36 percent, respectively, have been ranked as the top four in the country. Seven NTPC coal stations are among the top 10 performing stations of the country in terms of PLF.

NTPC is an Indian central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, engaged in the business of generation of electricity and allied activities.
