Tata Motors to raise up to Rs 500 crore via NCDs

Tata Motors, one of the pioneers in Indian automobile industry, has decided to raise Rs 500 crore through private placement of non-convertible debentures (NCDs). Recently, the company reported 1.93% increase in total sales in February at 47,573 units compared to 46,674 in the same month last year.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
