Hindustan Zinc sets record of highest paying dividend company in India

Hindustan Zinc has announced a special one-time interim dividend of 1,375% or Rs 27.50 on an equity share of Rs2, which will cost the company Rs 13,985 crore including dividend distribution tax. The dividends being paid out by the Company are the highest ever paid in a financial year in India. With the dividends paid in October and April of 2016, the total comes to Rs 27,157 crore in FY17.
