Berger Paints inches up on commencing production at Naltali plant

Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 237.60, up by 0.20 points or 0.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 237.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 239.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 239.50 and Rs. 235.00 respectively. So far 5,071 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 276.80 on 12-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 171.04 on 04-Apr-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 239.50 and Rs. 227.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23,070.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.23% and 10.78% respectively.

Berger Paints India has commenced commercial production of its integrated paint and putty plant at Naltali, Nagaon, Assam on March 30, 2017. The plant has an annual capacity of 48,000 KL/MT per annum of water based paints, 24,000 KL of solvent based paints, 14,000 MT of Resin and 24,000 MT of wall putty.

The company has now commenced production at two of its plants in Assam - one for the Berger Division at Naltali and the other for the British Paints Division at Nalbari.

Berger Paints India is one of the largest paint companies in India with a gross turnover of more than Rs 5,000 crore. It is present in all segments of paint including Decorative, Automotive, Industrial, Protective and Powder Coatings.
