Mahindra and Mahindra’s (M&M) South Korean subsidiary SsangYong Motor, has sold a total of 12,992 units in March 2017 - 9,229 units in domestic sales and 3,763 in exports. SsangYong's March sales increased for three consecutive months this year helped by continued popularity of the Tivoli brand models, but compared to March 2016, it dropped slightly by 0.1% due to sluggish market demand.
SsangYong's domestic sales rose for the third month in a row with an increase of 1.8 percent over March 2016 and 7.6 percent on an accumulated basis. However , its export dropped by 4.5% compared to the same month last year due to sluggish global economy, but compared to the previous month, it showed a recovery with an increase of 38.9 percent.
SsangYong will expand its global sales steadily by launching the New Style Korando C in the European market, strengthening global marketing activities and exploring the new markets.
