Jain Irrigation Systems shines on partnering with G8 and various African nations

Jain Irrigation Systems is currently trading at Rs. 76.50, up by 0.60 points or 0.79% from its previous closing of Rs. 75.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 76.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 77.80 and Rs. 76.05 respectively. So far 288385 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 174.95 on 11-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 73.10 on 09-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 82.20 and Rs. 73.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3099.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 30.35 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 53.98 % and 15.20 % respectively.

The irrigation and sustainable agriculture giant, Jain Irrigation Systems has agreed to partner with G8 and various African nations to invest on the occasion of ‘the new alliance for food security in Africa’ symposium held on May 18 at Washington DC.

Jain Irrigation has committed investment and project of $375 million over the next few years to build sustainable agriculture and to improve income of small holder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In the coming years, the company will partner and collaborate with the government of Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Ghana, Cote d’lvoire, Burkina Faso, Nigeria and others.

Recently, the company and TALIS Management Holdings GMBH (Rodgau, Germany) entered into a global strategic tie up to bundle TALIS products as part of JAIN product offerings.
