Kalpataru Power Transmission declines on reporting weak Q4 numbers

Kalpataru Power Transmission is currently trading at Rs. 82.90, down by 2.00 points or 2.36% from its previous closing of Rs. 84.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 86.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 86.40 and Rs. 80.05 respectively. So far 10845 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 143.65 on 15-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.00 on 18-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 88.85 and Rs. 80.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1276.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.81% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.02% and 9.16% respectively. 

Kalpataru Power Transmission has reported a fall of 7.84% in its net profit at Rs 56.75 crore for the quarter ended March 31 as against Rs 61.58 crore in the corresponding period last year. The total income from operations during the fourth quarter, however, increased by 19.95% to Rs 1061.62 crore from Rs 885.03 crore in the year-ago period.

For the full year 2011-12, the company’s net profit went down by 13.47% to Rs 164.90 crore from Rs 190.56 crore in the previous fiscal. The consolidated total income from operations during FY12 rose by 5.37% to Rs 3032.72 crore from Rs 2878.18 crore in FY'11.

Kalpataru Power Transmission has recommended payment of dividend of Rs 1.50 per equity share of Rs 2 each to the shareholders of the company.
