Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has been conferred with two awards for the financial year 2014-15, by Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) on the 8th Public Sector Day function held in New Delhi on April 11, 2017.
The company has been adjudged SCOPE Excellence Award for outstanding contribution to the Public Sector Management - Institutional Category I (Maharatna & Navratna); and SCOPE Meritorious Award for Best Managed Bank, Financial Institution Category.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
