Berger Paints India is currently trading at Rs. 241.00, up by 1.70 points or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 239.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 241.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 242.10 and Rs. 240.30 respectively.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 276.80 on 12-Sep-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 174.22 on 24-Jun-2016.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 247.50 and Rs. 234.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 23,332.00 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.11% and 10.90% respectively.
Berger Paints India is reportedly planning to foray into new product categories especially in the industrial segment. The company is eyeing an entry into auto-refinish and marine paints through joint ventures that are likely to be finalized by the end of this fiscal.
The company is also looking at introduction of offerings in the specialized, energy-efficient ETICS (external thermal insulation and composite systems) category. The company may also set up a new plant to cater to this segment.
Berger Paints India is one of the largest paint companies in India with a gross turnover of more than Rs 5,000 crore. It is present in all segments of paint including Decorative, Automotive, Industrial, Protective and Powder Coatings.
