GTL gains despite registering consolidated net loss of Rs 246.22 crore in Q3

GTL is currently trading at Rs. 32.30, up by 0.10 points or 0.31% from its previous closing of Rs. 32.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 31.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 32.55 and Rs. 31.50 respectively. So far 48354 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 419.90 on 26-May-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 29.20 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 35.40 and Rs. 31.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 313.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 23.36% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.64% and 45.00% respectively. 

Telecom network services firm GTL has registered a consolidated net loss of Rs 246.22 crore for the third quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to a net profit of Rs 48.46 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company’s consolidated revenue from operations also declined 27.03% to Rs 565.63 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 775.20 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

GTL is engaged in providing network-related solutions to various telecom service providers and technology providers (OEMs), globally. The company provides network-related solutions to the telecom carriers through its Network Services Division (NSD) covering the entire network life cycle, i.e., from network planning and designing, rollout of network and application management and operations & maintenance.
