Reliance Power has reported results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2012.
The company‘s net profit has dipped by 50.94% at Rs 30.77 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 62.72 crore for the corresponding quarter ended on March 31, 2011. Its total income has plunged by73.87% at Rs 26.37 crore for the quarter from Rs 100.92 crore for the similar quarter of the previous fiscal.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company posted a growth of 13.22% in net profit of Rs 310.85 crore as compared to Rs 274.55 crore for the previous year ended on March 31, 2011. Its total income also has increased by 13.05% to Rs 531.85 crore for the fiscal under review from Rs 470.47 crore for the previous year.
On consolidated basis, the Group‘s net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of associates has increased by 23.94% at Rs 231.31 crore for the January-March ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 186.62 crore for the similar quarter ended March 31, 2011. Group’s total income has increased by 9.12% to Rs 652.77 crore for the quarter from Rs 598.19 crore March quarter, 2011.
For the year ended March 31, 2012, the Group’s net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of associates stood at Rs 866.77 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 760.44 crore in the previous fiscal, up by 13.98%. Group’s total income has surged by 44.25% to Rs 2766.78 crore for the year under review from Rs 1918.03 crore for the previous year.
