Tata Power Haldia division has been awarded the Prashansa Patra award from National Safety Council (NSC). The consistent effort of the division has helped it achieve a remarkable 2,231 accident-free man-days. The company has always been a pioneer in implementing state-of-the-art safety measures in its operational areas and raise awareness on the virtues of safety among its stakeholders.
The award is initiated by NSC, wherein invitations were called from across industries of the nation, including the manufacturing, construction and MSME sectors. More than 400 applications were received by NSC for the Safety Award 2016 nominations, out of which 43 were awarded. The Haldia division participated in the manufacturing category and bagged the coveted award.
