Andhra Bank slips on reporting 32% fall in Q4 net profit

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 68.05, down by 2.65 points or 3.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 70.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 69.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.00 and Rs. 67.25 respectively. So far 4,78,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 76.10 on 05-May-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 44.80 on 24-May-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.20 and Rs. 67.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,635.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.26%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 20.81% and 17.93% respectively.

The bank has reported a fall of 31.92% in its net profit at Rs 35.13 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 51.60 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 5.86% at Rs 5424.70 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5124.37 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2016. 

For the year ended March 31, 2017, the bank has posted a fall of 67.71% in its net profit at Rs 174.34 crore as compared to Rs 539.84 crore in FY16. However, total income of bank increased by 5.92% at Rs 20335.73 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 19199.16 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016.
