SpiceJet has become the first carrier to roll out e-boarding facility at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. Under the facility, a passenger just has to scan his boarding pass and it takes less than five seconds to complete the boarding procedure.

The facility, e-Gate, enables the company to integrate Departure Control System (DCS) to an automated boarding gate. The service has been implemented in association with Australia -based Elenium Automation.

SpiceJet was among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector. It flies to 46 destinations, including 7 international ones, and operates an average of 342 flights every day.
