Tata Power’s TPDDL inks MoU with Kahramaa

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture (JV) of Tata Power and the Government of Delhi, and Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote bilateral cooperation through technical experience, knowledge sharing, information exchange and experience in the electricity distribution sector.

The MoU will cover technology exchange in areas such as power system operation and control, medium- and long-term planning, asset management (including maintenance methodologies), smart grid, flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS), renewable energy integration, power market studies and innovative technologies.

Tata Power is India’s largest integrated power company with a growing international presence. The company together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities has presence in all the segments of the power sector viz. Fuel Security and Logistics, Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
